#FEBphotoaday – Day Twenty – One

A Fav Photo Of You

I can count on one hand the amount of happy childhood memories I can recall. So naturally when I found this photo among family albums my heart skipped a beat.

I don’t know how old I am,  where I am,  what I’m laughing at, or why my mother dressed me in THAT colour, but I’m laughing ….

I can almost hear the laughter, almost touch the joy!

Its captured proof that despite all the dysfunction,  I had a  bubble of happiness  hidden somewhere …

From now on I’m going to take more pictures of laughter

Its beautiful

Handwriting – Me to You

When I wake up in the morning the first thing  I do is check my phone for messages

When I get to work I’ll check my personal emails

During the day I’ll check my facebook, twitter, and blogs for personal comments

If I leave my phone at home I almost skip home knowing I’ll have endless messages to read ( huge deflation when I get home to a blank screen)

Yet there is nothing more overflowing than going back to basics

A handwritten message from me to you, you to me!

#FEBphotoaday – Day One

My View – The Dog and Goose

This is my view from my office window….

The pub you can see across the car park is The Kings Randsom, an ideally situated pub for lunch plans with my girl Kellie. So at 1pm I started to make my way across this mundane car park with thoughts of all things food and drink. All of a sudden a strange situation caught my eye  causing me to stop and look towards the canal.

A swarm of Geese were leisurely using the pathway in an orderly fashion. They were all unusually silent … except for one.

This one was a strong -willed fiesty Goose who we will call Gretta.

Now Gretta was angry, very angry! She marched down that frozen canal making her opinion KNOWN in a goose like “squaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark squark SQUARK”  manner! The other Geese continued as though they were purposely paying no attenetion to her. I could almost hear them whispering “Pay her no attention and she will get tired eventually… she is NOT the only one that has broken down! We have all been forced to walk, best thing to do it just get on with it”

Yet Gretta had stopped me in my tracks and had now caught the attention of a hyperactive puppy who we will call Tucker (can you believe there is a website for hyper dog names).

Tucker had been running down the side of the canal looking for trouble all morning it seemed.  He’d already sneaked in the treat cupboard and eaten all his choccy pup treats and had now escaped into the big wide world. So far it had seemed overated but then he spotted Gretta.

Gretta was just the type of situation and excuse he needed to get his hype – on! At first he walked along side her barking caually, he then realised he was not getting enough of a reaction.  He stopped (in the area marked out and pointed to above) and stuck his nose through the bars seperating the path from the canal.

Tucker bagan to bark manicly and literally jump with all paws off the ground at the same time in an impressive rhythm for a dog his age.

Gretta turned her attenstion to him put her beak as close to his nose as she could and started squarking  at what seemed like triple the volume Tucker was barking. Gretta then proceeded to take at least 6 steps to the left and then to the right continuously.

Do Geese have PMT?

So here we have a Goose having a manic hormonal panic attack, a puppy with ADHD caused by a sugar rush, a frozen canal, an audience of much calmer well reserved Geese and no camera!

I was stood in the middle of the car park in uncontrollable laughter frantically searching my bag for my phone so I could at least get a still shot of this completely random moment …..

This made my day 🙂

You think I should request they change the name of the pub to The Dog and Goose?

The view outside my office window will never be the same again!

….Better Late Than Never….

I’m am nervously in  love with 2012….

I’m so uncomfortably excited about this year and all the changes it is going to bring

I’m feeling a little lost , therefore lost for words

I am despertae to find out what it is that is shaking me up

One step at a time

In the meantime
